The first B(c)S poll came out last Sunday, Texas is ranked #3 behind Florida and 'Bama.
Fair enough. Florida and 'Bama likely will play each other in the SEC Championship and anyone with common sense should feel that the loser drops out of the national title race. Although some say the B(c)S National Championship might be a re-match of Florida and 'Bama.
Highly unlikely. It it happened, Texas would leave the Union and President Obama would nationalize the B(c)S. It would be one of the few times I'd agree with him.
So how does this all pass the "So what" test to the Longorns? Just win baby. Win the Big 12 South, win the Big 12 Champsionship and everything will take care of itself. You will go to Pasadena and play either Florida or 'Bama.
You start tomorrow by beating Missouri. Then you beat OSU Halloween night. And so on, and so on, and so on.
The Texas offense led by Colt McCoy has been a tad anemic this season. But special teams and the defense are second to none. Jordan Shipley is the key to Mack Browns Juggernaut.
The Texas Longhorns control their own destiny. They do so by just keeping on keeping on.
Hook'em!
