*Splash Swim- Assist staff with children ages 3-7. Help children learn water safety and swimming skills. Swimsuit needed, experience preferred. Different sessions offered Monday, Friday, and Saturday.
*Swimming, track and field, Tennis & Bocce Ball- Special Olympics programs where participants (ages 8 and up) will build confidence, pride and physical skills through participation with others. Come volunteer as a coach or unified partner. Swimming and Track and Field through 6/6> Tennis and Bocce Ball 5/19-7/14.
*Tae Kwon Do- Class meets Tuesday & Thursday evenings. Taught by Certified Tae Kwon Do Instructors. Assist students ages 5 and up, and help improve balance, concentration, self-control, and confidence.
*Tumbling- For children ages 3-7. Focus on enhancing movement skills, strength, coordination and balance. Class meets at HRCA Recreation Center at Northridge, Conundrum on Wednesdays and Fridays.
*Almost 8- For kids who are almost 8 (ages 5-7) and just can't wait to be an athlete! This program provides an introduction to Special Olympics sports and skills.
*Soccer & Basketball A good prep for Special Olympics soccer or Basketball to help participants ages 8 and up learn the skills and rules of the game that are necessary to play.
Basketball 5/7-6/25 Indoor Soccer 7/2-8/27 both Weds. 5:15-6.
*Thrilling Thursdays- Participate in a variety of activities with participants ages 16 and up. Activities include swimming, art, basketball, cooking, fitness, and more. A 3-hour program, bring a healthy snack and a swimsuit!
**WHO CAN VOLUNTEER**
We have had volunteers as young as 6 years old.
We require Background Checks on all volunteers ages 16 and above.
