A prize for pint-sized patrons & puppets!

Librarians, parents and children have cause to celebrate. As part of its grand reopening, Wal-Mart in Highlands Ranch awarded several grants to local organizations, and Highlands Ranch Library was one of the lucky recipients. The $1,000 grant will be used to support early childhood literacy and the library's storytime puppet theater. Librarians Jennifer Haberkorn, Ruth Ann Krovontka, and Highlands Ranch Library Manager Dorothy Hargrove accepted the check at the Wal-Mart's reopening on Wednesday, April 30.

For more information on Highlands Ranch Library's storytimes and early childhood literacy, stop by your library, call 303-791-READ, or visit the Programs & Events calendar at DouglasCountyLibraries.org.
