Author Sandra Dallas is a local writer with global appeal. Her novels have been translated into a dozen foreign languages and several have been optioned for films.
In this month's episode of "Authors @ Douglas County Libraries," Dallas talks to Library Director Jamie LaRue about her lifelong fascination with the west and its history. She also touches on how some of her characters have taken on a life of their own and how readers can tell you things you didn't know about your own books - and about yourself. Dallas is known for her novels including "Prayers for Sale," "Tallgrass," and "Buster's Midnight Cafe" as well as her nonfiction like "Colorado Ghost Towns and Mining Camps."
Every month, accomplished local authors share their stories with LaRue in a partnership with the Network DC. Douglas County Libraries assists in the production of "Authors @ Douglas County Libraries" -- a locally-produced show on Comcast Channel 8 in Douglas County. If you miss the show airing on DC 8, you can log on to DouglasCountyLibraries.org, go to the Books tab and pull down to Authors at DC Libraries to watch these exciting programs. Find out what makes these writers tick, and just how these books come to be written.
