Agents from the Highlands Ranch Market Center of Keller Williams Realty (200 W. Plaza Dr.) collected more than 950 lbs. of food valued at $1,444 that was donated to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force. The food drive was held in conjunction with the recent 9News Food Drive.
The Douglas/Elbert Task Force (www.castlerock4u.com) has served nearly 6,000 clients, half of whom were children, and provided more than $372,000 in assistance from January to May this year.
"Our agents left grocery bags with the residents of their 'farm' areas and then went back to collect all of the donations," explains Jane Hay, Team Leader for Keller Williams' Highlands Ranch office. "The demand for food assistance through the Task Force has been high so we were happy that the participation by all of the agents and their clients and neighbors resulted in the large amount of food collected."
