The
Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument
will be participating in all of HRCA's festivities on July 4th.
The day will begin with our patriotic float lead by a historical color guard in the HRCA's parade beginning at 9:00am. Then later make a point to visit our booth at the Town Center festivities.
The
Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument
booth will feature a display of historical military memorabilia, a special t-shirt sale, and a very unique Silent Auction. The Silent Auction will be for a
one-of-a-kind
, patriotic handcrafted quilt. The quilt is being created and donated anonymously as a special fundraiser for the
Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument
. The quilt will be displayed in the Highlands Ranch Library prior to the 4th of July holiday. Bidding for this beautiful quilt will start at $250.00. All of the proceeds will directly benefit the monument, which is a non-profit 501 (3) (c).
The 4th of July booth will also have important information available about the
Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument
and the Dedication Tile program. The committee must raise $200,000 to construct the monument. Our community has an opportunity to build the monument by purchasing dedication tiles to line the walls of the monument. Families can honor their veterans by purchasing a tile. The family can write a story about their loved one and have it placed in a scrapbook located in the Highlands Ranch Library, and have the story featured on our website:
hrvets.org.
Please visit our website:
hrvets.org
to view plans for the monument, read about veterans who have already been honored by a dedication tile purchase, and download dedication tile applications.
