We want to extend a warm welcome to the community to join us for a special evening featuring a silent auction full of unique African items made in Kenya, a 5-course dinner and special guest speakers who will talk about the work being done in Kenya by HEART. The silent auction will also include professional, poster-sized, framed photographs (some of which are featured on this site in the attached slides).
This will be an evening filled with fresh pictures and stories right out of Kenya. Come hear from HEART's founder and president - Vickie Winkler - who will fly in from Kenya to talk about the men, women and children whose lives have been touched in a special way because of the work of HEART. Vickie will be joined by others who represent just a few of the over 600 people who have served on a HEART team and can talk about their firsthand experiences while in the field in Kenya.
HEART - which has offices in Highlands Ranch - has reached over 30,000 Kenyan people in the past 7 years. HEART is a registered non-profit organization and governed by a board of directors who are committed to making sure that 90% of every dollar goes directly into the field. HEART is made up of people who want to make a difference in the lives of those fighting to survive the AIDS pandemic. HEART receives assistance through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), partners with the Center for Disease Control and various Rotary Clubs (water projects). In addition, HEART is supported by many generous people and businesses from around the country.
