Susie Typher, of Rock Canyon High School, was chosen as the Colorado High School Journalist of the Year, also known as the Dorothy Greer Award, by the Colorado High School Press Association.

The award includes a $2,000 scholarship.

Typher's portfolio will be sent to Anaheim, Calif., where she will compete for the title of National High School Journalist of the Year on April 20. Typher is executive editor of The Rock, Rock Canyon High School's newspaper.
