Three scouts from Highlands Ranch recently attained the rank of Eagle.
Trenton Hamilton,
Jeshua Barnett, and
Christopher Chambers received the honor after each completed the requirements, which included contributing a significant amount of service to the community.
For Trenton's project, he planned, prepared and provided a meal for those at the Ronald McDonald House in Denver. Jeshua initiated and organized a new children's book drive and collected 460 donated books as part of his efforts to help create a children's reading center for the Sky Ridge Pediatric Department. Chris' endeavor required four days of hard labor as he reconstructed a bird coop at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.
They all expressed gratitude for the many volunteers who were willing to assist them in their projects. Only about four percent of those who join the Boy Scouts of America ever reach the status of Eagle.
