Outstanding achievement awards

The Metro District of Highlands Ranch recently presented Outstanding Achievement Awards for 2006 to two employees and Centennial Water & Sanitation District presented Outstanding Achievement Awards to 18 employees.

Outstanding Achievement Awards are given to employees who have exhibited outstanding performances throughout the year at both the Metro District and Centennial Water & Sanitation District. Bill Dailey, natural resource manager for the Metro District, was given the award for his work managing the Metro District's natural resources and for facilitating the citizen task force that reviewed the Prairie Dog Conservation Plan. Stefanie Quintana, executive assistant, received the award coordinating the mail ballot director and consolidation election in May.

Centennial Water & Sanitation District employees Rick Neff, Tom Anderson, Bill Mears, Jason Meade, Phil Wiedman, Kyle Bowers, Scott Woodall, Larry Hoover, Eric Boyd, Brian Anabali, Mike Mitchell, Frank Perry, Mike Auringer, Harry Bovos and Jim Holyer received the Outstanding Achievement Award for their teamwork in completing, removing and replacing 60 tons of filter media at the ground water treatment plant in only 14 working days, requiring innovative equipment. Greg Canada, water treatment plant operator, received the award for training Water for People participants. John Harper, maintenance mechanic, received the Outstanding Achievement Award for facilitating a major move of electrical components, 40 feet below ground, at the Big Dry Lift Station. Engineer Deborah Gallegos was given recognition for the two-year long construction coordination of the South Platte Reservoir.
