Lisa Phillips, principal of Timber Trail Elementary School in Castle Rock, has been named Douglas County School District director of schools for the Highlands Ranch feeder area, effective July 1.
Phillips said she will be working directly with the principals of Highlands Ranch High School, Cresthill Middle School, Acres Green, Arrowwood, Cougar Run, Eagle Ridge, Fox Creek and Lone Tree elementary schools and Renaissance Expeditionary Magnet elementary school.
"Our basic goal is to be instructional leaders and to drive student achievement, staff development and coaching principals," Phillips said.
Phillips helped open Timber Trail Elementary School four years ago. She has been with Douglas County School District for nine years and has been in the field of education for 24 years.
DCSD has hired Timber Trail assistant principal
Michele Radke to be the new principal, also effective July 1.
"I'm ecstatic about it," Radke said. "I have my heart and soul here. I feel honored that I was chosen to be principal and I'm happy to carry our mission forward. The Timber Trail community is just the best."
Radke also helped open the school. She has been with Douglas County School District for 11 years.
