Get a Good Laugh with author Dave Barry

Douglas County Libraries Foundation is pleased to announce An Evening with Dave Barry at The Wildlife Experience (10035 South Peoria, Parker), Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7:00 p.m. As part of the Author Extravaganza presented by Douglas County Libraries, this lighthearted evening is a fundraiser benefitting the Douglas County Libraries Foundation.

Learn about Dave Barry, his experiences and work, through a lively interview and Q & A session hosted by Jamie Brickhouse, stand-up comedian and Director of HarperCollins Speakers Bureau. A book signing with books available to purchase from Tattered Cover Book Store will follow the discussion. Tickets for general admission to the program are $20. An intimate reception including hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be held at 5:30 p.m. Guests at the reception will have an opportunity to mingle with Dave Barry. Tickets to this reception and preferred seating for the program are $50. Tickets for this event can be purchased at DouglasCountyLibraries.org.

Dave Barry is a humor columnist with his work appearing in more than 500 newspapers in the United States and abroad. In 1988 he won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. He has written 30 books, and is currently working on a new book with Ridley Pearson called Science Fair, due out in October.
