Hear a firsthand account of the realities of the war and challenges presented by the increasing violence in Afghanistan. Army Intelligence Major Steve Howery recently returned from Afghanistan and will give a talk and answer questions on Tuesday, September 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Highlands Ranch Library (9292 Ridgeline Boulevard).
A frequent speaker on the war on terror, Howery is a reserve officer, writer, attorney, and corporate executive in the greater Denver area. His novel,
Without Reserve: a Novel of the War on Terror, is based on his experience tracking al-Qaida linked terrorist groups in Southeast Asia after 9/11. That book will be available for sale at the presentation.
