Deputies arrested two Highlands Ranch teens in connection with several car trespasses that occurred in the early morning hours of Jan. 19 in Highlands Ranch, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

At about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 19, deputies responded to the area of Fairgate Way in Highlands Ranch on the report of numerous criminal trespasses to cars, a report stated. Several deputies discovered shoe tracks in the snow of
those they believed to be responsible for the trespasses. A K9 was utilized to help follow the tracks as well, according to the report.

After following the tracks, deputies spotted two men running from the area. The deputies said they yelled for the two to stop, but they continued to run. After a short chase, one was arrested in a driveway on Fairgate Way. The other suspect was found hiding in some bushes. Deputies said they called to the suspect several times to come out, but he did not comply. The K9 was then deployed and grabbed onto the suspect's arm. The dog brought him out in the open for deputies to take into custody.

According to the report, several items that were taken out of the cars were located in the area and returned to the rightful owners.

One of the suspects, Ryan Littleton, 19, of Highlands Ranch, was arrested on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, first-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest and was transported to the Douglas County Detention facility.

The second suspect, a 16-year-old boy, was released to a parent pending investigation. The sheriff's office is not releasing his name because he is a minor.
