On January 28, the High Tech Crime Unit of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested a Cascade man when he came to the Highlands Ranch area to meet with who he believed to be an underage female he met on the Internet.
Jubran Khoury
, 49, was arrested and transported to the Douglas County Detentions Facility where he was booked in on the following:
*Internet luring of a child/class 4 felony
*Enticement of a child/class 4 felony
*Criminal attempt sexual assault on a shild/class 5 felony
Khoury started the online conversation on January 24, 2008, with who he believed to be an underage female.
The conversation quickly turned to a sexual nature and a meeting was set up. When he arrived at the location to meet the underage female, he was instead arrested by deputies.
"It is unfortunate that there are people out there that have the criminal intention of victimizing our youth. It is very encouraging that law enforcement takes such a serious stance on these types of crimes. I am very proud of the officers that work towards keeping our children safe", stated Sheriff
David Weaver
.
This is still an open investigation and more information may be available once it has officially been filed with the District Attorney's Office.
