Highlands Ranch man arrested in attempted burglary
Contributed by: YourHub.com on 2/20/2008

A 20-year-old Highlands Ranch man was arrested Feb. 18 after he allegedly attempted to break into a resident's car.

Nicholas Hileman, 20, was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility where he was booked on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and illegal possession/consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person.

At around 8:05 p.m., deputies responded to the 9800 block of Bathurst Way in Highlands Ranch on a report of a trespass to a vehicle. It was reported by the homeowner that he found Hileman inside his garage, next to his vehicle with the door open.

Hileman ran out of the garage, but the homeowner was able to follow him and relay his location to the deputies. He was contacted and arrested by deputies on Sydney Avenue.

It was also determined that other items in Hileman's possession came from another address on Sydney Lane.
