Highlands Ranch mother arrested for prostitution

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested a Highlands Ranch woman at her house for prostitution and child abuse.

On March 6, members of the Special Investigations Unit, Pattern Crimes Unit and Patrol conducted an undercover operation at the 10000 block of Cedaridge Court in Highlands Ranch after receiving several complaints about the possibility of prostitution occurring at that residence. The business being run out of the home was being advertised on the Denver Back Page.

An undercover investigator made contact with the business owner and was able to set up a meeting at the Cedaridge Court location. The meeting consisted of the undercover investigator being solicited for prostitution by the suspect. Upon arrest of the suspect, it was also determined that two of her three children present in the home where under the age of 18.

Sheri Sims, 39, from Highlands Ranch, was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Detentions Facility where she was booked in on the following:

C.R.S. 18-7-201 Prohibited Prostitution/Class 3 Misdemeanor
C.R.S. 18-6-401 Child Abuse/2 counts/ Class 3 Misdemeanor

Sims posted bond on March 7 and is expected back in court on March 21.
