Drivers will experience minimal impacts when Highlands Ranch roads receive concrete pavement repairs beginning Oct. 20 and continuing until just before the Christmas holiday, pending inclement weather.
The only location requiring major work is on Broadway between Gateway and Salford. Traffic will be moved to the northbound lanes with two lanes running in each direction so that work can be completed on the southbound lanes. This detour will last about two weeks, but traffic delays are not expected to be a problem.
Fifteen other locations in Highlands Ranch have been identified as problem areas that have heaved or popped up due to heat during the summer months. The general locations where work will take place are:
· Five areas along Highlands Ranch Parkway between Colorado Blvd. and Lucent
· Three areas along Broadway between Wildcat Reserve Parkway and C-470
· Two areas along Dad Clark between Broadway and University Blvd.
· One area at Wildcat Reserve Parkway and Gateway Dr.
· Two areas along University Blvd. between C-470 and Wildcat Reserve Parkway
· Two areas along Quebec between C-470 and Lincoln Ave.
Approximately 67 areas will also receive sidewalk repairs, but those will not cause closures or delays for drivers.
