One-Day Topic Focused Workshop with Education and Public Participation

Douglas County's efforts in obtaining public feedback for the 2030 Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP) are coming to its closing stages with a One-Day Bash at The Wildlife Experience, 10035 S. Peoria, on Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Main topics of discussion will be: water supplies, growth management, transportation and sustainability.

The meeting will balance education and public participation. Speakers will educate the public on each topic providing information on new advancements. Participants will be led through a discussion on each topic with all input recorded. The County and the public will work together to find possible solutions to the challenges facing Douglas County.

June 2 is also The Wildlife's Experience Family Fun Day, which includes story time, bingo, temporary tattoos, a trivia wheel, live animal demonstrations and more. The Butterfly Pavilion will host a Summer Bug Safari with insects and a presentation. Participants of the One-Day Bash can also enjoy Family Fun Day at The Wildlife Experience for free.
