Lone Tree police blotter

Incidents reported by Lone Tree Police

On March 10 at about 12:30 a.m., an officer observed a disturbance between a man and a woman in the parking lot of Rio Grande restaurant, located at 9535 Park Meadows Drive. Upon contact, the 23-year-old woman reportedly said she and her 22-year-old boyfriend had an argument at The Robusto Room, and she decided to leave. The boyfriend allegedly followed her outside and told her he was cheating on her and then slapped her face, the report stated. The officer said the woman was trying to hit the boyfriend when he intervened. The boyfriend reportedly had a no contact restraining order from a previous case involving his girlfriend. He was arrested for third-degree assault, harassment and violating a restraining order.

On March 10 at 1:33 a.m., police were dispatched to an apartment on the 9000 block of South Yosemite Street in reference to a domestic violence call. A 29-year-old woman allegedly slapped her 24-year-old husband during an argument, according to a report. The wife said her husband yelled at her when she tried to take one of his cigarettes, the report stated, so she went out to buy some of her own. She came back home and found she was locked out and eventually had to call her husband's mother to get him to open the door, the report stated. When the man let her in, the woman allegedly yelled at him and slapped him. Police took her into custody for domestic violence and harassment.

On March 11 at 3:47 a.m., police were dispatched to an apartment on the 10000 block of Park Meadows Drive in reference to a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, police reportedly heard very loud music and yelling coming from the apartment. When police knocked on the door, a young man answered, and police reportedly could see in plain view several opened alcohol containers around the residence. Some people tried to exit from the rear of the residence, while others hid throughout the apartment, the report stated. Eight people younger than 21 were issued a summons for underage possession and consumption of alcohol.

On March 9 at about 10 p.m., an officer responded to a report of criminal mischief. The officer arrived in the parking lot on the 8700 block of South Yosemite Street and spoke with a 47-year-old man having some trouble with a group of juvenile males. The man reportedly said one of his workers was outside smoking a cigarette and saw about five or six juvenile males walk by the work trailer. The worker allegedly heard a hissing sound and he found that one of the trailer tires had been slashed, the report stated. The man and the worker allegedly confronted the juveniles at a nearby 7-Eleven, and after the group admitted they slashed the tire, one of them gave the man $80 for the damage. After the man returned to the trailer, he reportedly noticed that another tire also had been slashed. No more information.

Incidents reported by sheriff's office

A 38-year-old Castle Rock woman was arrested March 7 after she allegedly smashed another woman's head into the side of a pickup truck. The dispute apparently arose over a game of poker. According to a report, deputies were dispatched to Rockyard American Grill & Brewing Company, 880 W. Castleton Drive, at 11:30 p.m. on a report of an assault. They met with the victim, a 25-year-old Colorado Springs woman, who stated a woman in the restaurant attacked her. According to her testimony, she had just knocked the woman out of a poker tournament when the woman became upset and started calling her names not fit for a family newspaper. The 38-year-old allegedly followed the 25-year-old outside and kept taunting her until she kicked her in the stomach, grabbed her by the hair and smashed her head against a truck. The woman shouted a few more insults and then left the area with her boyfriend. A witness at the scene confirmed the victim's story, according to the report. The woman was later pulled over by a deputy and arrested for third-degree assault.

A 26-year-old Highlands Ranch man claims another man pointed a gun at him in the heat of a road rage incident March 9. According to a report, the Highlands Ranch man was attempting to make a right turn at the intersection of Wildcat Reserve Parkway and University Boulevard when he was cut off by a man driving a red Dodge Neon. The man stated he followed the man who had cut him off for a few blocks before he decided to let it go. But the man noticed the red Neon behind him a few minutes later and the driver waved at him while flashing a gun, according to the report. The man in the Neon eventually turned onto Fairview Parkway and disappeared. He failed to get the license plate number, according to a report.

A 56-year-old Highlands Ranch woman reported that she had a $10,000 ring stolen from her house sometime between the dates of Feb. 14 and Feb. 21. According to the report, the woman, who lives on the 9700 block of S. Chanteclair Circle, discovered her ring was missing Feb. 21, according to the report. There are no leads in the case but she believes her cleaning lady might have stolen it. The woman reported that she had a $300 watch stolen from her bedroom as well.

A 23-year-old Lone Tree woman had more than 500 CDs stolen from her car during the early hours of March 13. According to a report, the woman stated someone smashed out the back window of her 2007 Jeep Cherokee to gain entrance to her car sometime between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. The woman, who lives in an apartment complex on the 10100 block of Park Meadows Drive in Lone Tree, said more than 500 of her CDs were stolen. The total damage and loss was estimated at approximately $5,400, according to the report.

On March 9, the high tech crime unit of the sheriff's office arrested a 25-year-old Colorado Springs man when he came to the Parker area to meet with what he believed to be an underage female who he met on the Internet. The man was arrested and transported to the Douglas County Detentions Facility where he was booked on suspicion of Internet luring of a child, enticement of a child and criminal attempt of sex assault on a child. The man, who is deaf, started the online conversation on March 2 with what he believed to be an underage female. He began his conversation with the female by offering to teach her sign language. The conversation quickly deteriorated into the man asking for the female to take and send naked pictures of herself. He also asked if she would be willing to have sex with him. On March 9, he drove from Colorado Springs to Parker to meet the underage female but instead was arrested by Douglas County deputies.
