Family: I've been married to my wife,
Amy, for 16 years. We have three amazing children:
Lauren, age 12,
David, age 9, and
Emily, age 2
What I do: Entrepreneur, founder offive different companies mostly within telecommunications and technology. I'm also a real estate investor.
Favorite place to hang out: Either on the tennis court or hiking Castle Rock!
What I like most about living here: I love the friendly people of Douglas County and I particularly love the outdoors, high-quality lifestyle.
My interests and hobbies: I love to play tennis, hike, travel, listen to news programming, discuss politics and spend time with my family.
What is my favorite thing to cook: Unfortunately, I don't cook well but I do love to eat! My favorite food is sushi.
People who inspired me: My father and my late grandmother have been the two greatest inspirations in my life. Both my dad and grandmother were always supportive and encouraged me both as a child and a young man to pursue my dreams and passions. My grandmother, in particular, always believed I was capable of accomplishing whatever I put my mind to. In addition, I was inspired by President
Ronald Reagan. I was incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to hear President Reagan speak in-person when I was 18 years old. President Reagan captivated me by his presence, charisma, and confidence and stirred emotions within me that have led me to pursue a second career in public service. Finally,
Abraham Lincoln is my favorite President and has been a great source of inspiration as well. President Lincoln was an example of what every a public official should aspire to be: honest, selfless, determined, and principled!
How I've contributed to the community: My wife and I have been active in community in many respects. We founded Project Lifesaver in Douglas County which provides GPS tracking devices to Alzheimer's patients. I've also been a supporter of the Douglas County Senior Foundation, and I'm a current member of the Castle Rock Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, and Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce. My wife is a former Sunday school teacher at Saint Thomas More Church and has been involved with the Denver Junior League.
