My favorite place in Douglas County to hang out: My home in Franktown.
What I like most about living here: The people, quality of life we have and the fact that Douglas County is one of the prettiest parts of the state.
My interests and hobbies: My family and family times together, hot air balloons, motorcycling with my husband and son. Involvement with the groups I am affiliated with in helping those less fortunate.
What is my favorite thing to cook: My husband's favorite Mexican casserole and son's favorite chicken casserole.
People who inspired me: My husband - He has inspired me and supported me to do things I would have never dreamed of doing, coming out of my comfort zone and taking chances. My son - He is a brilliant young man, he has taught me to think out of the box. My parents - they have instilled in me family values and the love that only families can share.
How I have contributed to the community: I have supported, mentored and grown with the treasurer's office as well as the tax payers of Douglas County for over 29 years. We have grown together, moving into the 21st century with style. I have been involved in community groups, supporting the Women's Crisis Center and the Castle Rock Task Force.
What are the biggest issues facing Douglas County now: Our continued growth, which relates to water issues, roads and public safety. Working smart and keeping financially secure.
