Incumbent
My age
: 59
My family
: Wife of 37 years,
Kathy
. Two children and their wonderful spouses. Four grandchildren ages 11, 9, 7, & 14 months.
Education
: Graduate from San Diego Sate University, BS degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting.
What I do
: Employed by Lockheed Martin at Waterton Canyon as a Proposal Cost Estimator. I predict the future cost of new contracts.
My favorite place in town to hang out
: I do not have one favorite place in HR. Instead I have many places such as the social gatherings, the many restaurants, open walkways and pathways, the homes of friends and neighbors, and viewing the sunset from the Highlands Point Overlook.
What I like most about living here
: HR provides a hometown quality of living that many cities do not provide, a sense of close community, and a leisurely living environment with plenty of recreational and cultural venues.
My interests and hobbies
: A night out with my wife, an evening of Bridge with friends, and offroading in the mountains driving in my Jeep.
My favorite thing to cook
: My wife is a wonderful cook and so I have never had the need to experiment in the culinary arts.
People who inspired me (and how)
: My wife. She is my life trail guide, my sounding board, my inner strength, my motivator and my cheerleader.
How I have contributed to the community
: Most of my time has been supporting HR Community Association, HR Cultural Affairs, or HR Community Scholarship Fund events. I did organize and chair the HR 25th anniversary celebration in 2006. The parade has continued as an annual event in HR.
The biggest issues facing Highlands Ranch now
: The future of the HR Mansion; uses of the Backcounty Wilderness Area without impacting the current eco system; incorporation of HR; and maintaining the quality of life for the residents.
Why I am running
: After 10 years of volunteering at HRCA, there are still changes to be made in HR for the betterment of the community. I want to be a part of those changes and believe that I can continue to be a value contributor to make them happen.
