County Line Road will be closed on the west side of Colorado and just east of the Copper Canyon Apartment access starting on Feb. 5 and lasting no more than 120 days.
Only local traffic will be able to use County Line Road between University and the Copper Canyon Apartment access. All business access from County Line Road will remain open during the project.
Douglas County, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the City of Centennial, has hired Concrete Express Inc. (CEI) to widen the section of County Line from Colorado Boulevard to University. County Line Road will be widened to a four-lane divided roadway with the addition of sidewalks, improved drainage, sound walls and filling of the "dip" that is just west of Colorado Boulevard.
This project will also include reconstruction of the County Line Road and University intersection, adding dual left turn lanes on all entrances to the intersection. The project will take approximately 12 to 15 months to complete.
The detour routes during construction will be:
-- Colorado to University south of County Line Road, and
-- Colorado to Dry Creek to University north of County Line Road.
Anyone having any questions regarding this project or the closure can contact the project hotline at 303.562.2018 ext. 357 or by e-mail at clr@pouringiton.com.
