Update from story posted 7/11/06
Before we were able to raise the money needed for
Jake
's procedure, he lost a lot of weight, had some severe swelling in his rear paw and the nasal infection worsened.
After a lot of sole searching and a vet consult, it was determined to ease any suffering Jake was going through and it would be best to send him over the "Rainbow Bridge." We hope that he found his owner who passed away last year.
*There are still several dogs in need of your support, please visit:
www.mhwc.org
and click onto rescue.
***
Jake
is an 11-year-old Weimaraner who has has been dealt some bad luck. His male owner recently passed away, and his female owner has a terminal illness. He is now in foster care with a female Weim and a Lhapsa Apso (and four human boys).
Jake is a sweet old guy with a huge heart. He keeps busy playing with squeaky toys, daily walks, swimming at Chatfield and long naps. He thrives on hugs and kisses.
We need your help!
Jake is in need of a procedure called a Rhinoscopy. He has a severe nose infection and a bad case of mucus coming from his nose causing extreme discomfort. The vets recommend that he have his nose scoped to determine the cause of the infection.
We are asking for donations to help us cover this costly procedure which is around $1,000.
If you would like to contribute to this sweet old boy's cause, please email Michelle Daum at:
mdweimrescue@msn.com
.
In addition buying something from our Arbonne International open houses or from our Weim Rescue store at Cafe Press (http://www.cafepress.com/mhwc) will help Jake as well. See our website for further details:
www.mhwc.org
Thank you in advance from Jake!
