But there
is a no-kill shelter for these very special animals, pet rabbits. We take in domestic rabbits for whom the world has become an unwelcome host. Our bunnies come to us sometimes as strays found after being released by uncaring owners; sometimes as beloved pets who cannot accompany service people being sent overseas; and sometimes from other shelters just before the rabbit's number comes up for euthanasia. We serve the entire state of Colorado. We are
The Colorado House Rabbit Society (CO-HRS).
CO-HRS is licensed by the National House Rabbit Society. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers. There are no paid positions. Every penny of all donations goes to helping the rabbits. We have two purposes: rescue and education.
We offer affectionate, litter-trained, spayed or neutered rabbits for adoption. Our volunteers work with each incoming rabbit to ensure the bunny knows all it needs to know to be a nice companion rabbit and so we know the rabbit's personality and can help you find the right bunny for you. We also offer education about rabbits to help our adopters to appropriately provide for and enjoy their new family member.
We've been told so often by various people that they didn't know about us, we've asked YourHub.com to allow us to feature a Bunny of the Week. We hope everyone will enjoy learning about our charges and that many of our bunnies will find the loving homes they deserve.
We can be reached by phone at
303 469-3240. Since we are usually working with the rabbits, please leave a message so we can call you back. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 238, Broomfield, CO 80038. You may email us at
