My name is B.J. It is short for Blackjack. I am an eleven year old beagle with the best family ever. I have allergies and my family has to give me antihistamines when I sneeze, which is often, I have knee problems and can not exercise alot so I am a little overweight and my family has to give me diet food. My allergies give me ear problems and my family has to put drops in my ear, I do not like it very much, but they still do it. I do not like getting my nails trimmed, but my family still wrestles me to the ground and does it. After a couple hours of pouting, I forgive them.
One thing I really do not mind is going to see my vet. His name is Dr. Jim Hailey at Redstone Animal Hospital. He is a very nice vet and has designed a new facility for me and my friends. He has the coolest park behind his building, you can't see it from the road, but it is there. It is a dog park and agility course. You are allowed to be off your leash and run through pipes, play in the water, climb over rocks, and roll around in the dirt. He has designed an agility and training park too. He really had us all in mind because he made a park for us smaller dogs so we do not get run over by the big dogs! My birthday is in August and my family is going to have my birthday party there, I hope.( I keep leaving hints for them, I hope they pick up on them!)
Just in case, should I ever get hurt or really sick, Dr. Jim and his team are always available to help me. Dr Jim has played a huge roll in the laparosopic spay technique which is easier and has a quicker healing time for my female friends. He travels all over the world to teach other nice vets to be able to perform this procedure on their patients.
I love my vet. If you want to come see my friend Dr. Jim Hailey at Redstone Animal Hospital call him at 303-683-1675 or visit his website at www.redstonevet.com.
