Foxy visitors roam the neighborhood
Contributed by: Lori Earley on 12/17/2007

We all know we live in an area rich with wildlife, yet it's still surprising to find the occasional visitor in our own backyard. Typically we see squirrels running along the fence and jumping in and out of trees, but lately they've had company.

Our latest (recurring) visitor is a beautiful fox with black legs. He/she has a companion that comes along now and again, but this particular fox seems to like our neighborhood best. I caught Foxy in action in my neighbor's yard recently, enjoying a bit of sun on an otherwise snowy day--sharpening teeth, and prowling for squirrels.
