Local Starbucks baristas led a coffee tasting event Feb. 21 at the Recreation Center at Eastridge, 9568 University Blvd., Highlands Ranch.
Participants learned there is much more to coffee than a morning pick-me-up, such as where and when coffee originated, the art of sniffing and slurping and what foods go great with what blends.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the 2009 Highlands Ranch Scholarship Fund.
