Let it snow
Contributed by: Zak Kloster on 12/22/2005

Winter is here and that means that the snow is falling. The slopes are getting dumped on and everyone should be looking forward to an epic ski and snowboard season. The past few weeks, the mountains have been filled with tourists and locals alike taking advantage of the early powder.

My family and I headed up the first weekend in December, and snow was coming down all the way there. It was a three-hour drive there and back, but it was completely worth it.

As we arrived at Copper Mountain, the lift lines were packed and it was only 9 a.m. Once we got away from all of the people at the bottom, the rest of the day was unbelievable with run after run of fresh powder.

You could tell that everybody there was having the time of their lives on the perfect day. It all ended with a light snowfall as the resort began to close and that just topped it all off.

As the day came to an end, we could only sit and reminisce about the wonderful time we had, and hope that there would be many more to come this season.

So for all the ski and snowboard lovers out there, have a great season and remember to take advantage of the fantastic conditions.

Zak Kloster is a senior at ThunderRidge High School. He is interested in one day writing for a snowboarding magazine.
