Batter up your baseball skills

South Suburban Parks and Recreation encourages youth ages 6-13 to display their throwing, base-running and batting skills at a FREE event on Friday, June 13 at 6 pm in Cherry Knolls Park, 7707 S. Elizabeth St., in Centennial.

Age group winners will move up to July regional competition and regional winners will advance to state finals at Coors Field after a Rockies' home game. Each child must fill out a registration form and a copy of child's birth certificate is required at time of registration.

Age as of Dec 31, 2008 determines eligibility. The Colorado Rockies and Colorado Parks and Recreation Association sponsor this exciting event in partnership with South Suburban Parks and Recreation.
