Stroller Strides, the nation's largest fitness program for new moms is now being offered at Park Meadows.
"It's been a great summer with outside classes, and we are now happy to take this popular program inside for the Fall/Winter season. Park Meadows offers a great location and opens up the opportunity for moms in Parker and Castle Rock to attend our classes now." said
Kathy Zawadzki
, co-owner of Stroller Strides of Littleton.
The indoor celebration will be held Oct. 23 at Park Meadows. Class meets at 9 a.m. inside the mall. This free event will be a great opportunity for fitness, fun, raffle prizes, goody bags, refreshments and more.
After the grand opening celebration, regular classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Park Meadows and on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Southwest Plaza Mall.
Stroller Strides is a unique total fitness program created specifically for new parents who bring their children in strollers. The challenging workout utilizes power walking with stops for strength training using resistance tubing, the environment and body weight. All Stroller Strides instructors are nationally certified and have special training in pre and post-natal fitness.
"We provide the outlet that moms need to enjoy time with other moms, while also focusing on the much needed exercise to fuel their demanding lives," Zawadzki said. "You can make new friends, get into shape and enjoy time with your baby."
Founded in 2001, Stroller Strides has 300 locations and more than 15,000 participants nationwide. In addition to the group exercise class, the program also offers playgroups, social events and Moms' night out.
Stroller Strides has been featured in publications such as
Entrepreneur
and
Woman's Day
and on programs such as
The Today Show
and on CNN's
Anderson Cooper's 360
.
