What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS LIZA OXNARD In addition to her rock, folk, pop and songwriter influences Liza was also raised on soul, funk, and Jazz and Broadway standards. This foray into her Jazz roots has deepened Liza's vocal explorations, bringing with it all of her musicality, stage presence, and playfulness that we have come to love from this varied singer and guitarist. The experience of touring for years in a rock band informs her Jazz set with an earthiness you won't get from many Jazz artists. She somehow straddles that fine line of vulnerable and edgy, kind hearted yet incendiary. Her set is inspired by Brazilian Bossa novas, Gospel tinged melodies, and intimate songwriter tales. This is an opportunity to hear Liza's luscious voice supported by sparse instrumentation, giving each song a chance to tell its own story.
