WOW! Children's Museum (World of Wonder) today announced that the Museum will celebrate the opening of a colorful new exhibit featuring the science of light on Monday, March 24th! There will be exhibit demonstrations and tours from 11:00am to 2:00pm as well as crafts throughout the day. All activities are included with Museum admission!
In keeping with the Museum's theme of learning through play, LIGHT AND SHADOW invites visitors to explore the nature of light and vision with hands-on fun.

"We designed LIGHT AND SHADOW to be a combination of art and science that appeals to a wide range of ages and learning styles. Children enjoy the dramatic audio and visual feedback as they manipulate and move through the exhibit spaces," said Nikki Delaney, Science Coordinator for WOW! Children's Museum. "And there are lots of opportunities for the curious to develop an understanding of the nature of light through their own observations. I wish I'd had access to exhibits like this in preschool!"
After trying out the
Illumitune, Susan Churchill, Museum member, exclaimed, "I'm still in awe! The exhibit merges physics and music to create one of the most progressive exhibits we've ever seen...yet it's kid friendly and accessible to everyone!
LIGHT AND SHADOW was created by WOW! Children's Museum with inspiration from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. LIGHT AND SHADOW is funded by a generous grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences (IMLS) and the Science and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), Boulder Tier III.
