[Live coverage and some good comedy as the
Controllable Christmas Lights Battle Colorado Blizzard.]
With Wednesday, December 20th being the first day after school is over, I had originally planned to take my kids skiing up at Eldora. But a major blizzard came into town, shutting down the airport, highway, and half of the state. And while I'm sure there was tons of fresh snow, I somehow doubt my 2WD minivan would have made it up the road to Eldora.
Here's a few pictures shot this afternoon at my house in Lafayette - I'd guess about 15" of white stuff came down with drifts piled up much higher. See more at my
Colorado SnowStorm page.
P.S. I took a yardstick out to the Front Yard at 9:00PM and it sank 22" into the white fluffy stuff. Had a little more overnight per the "official" measurement of 25" the next morning by Dirk and Kyle Komarnitsky - see the 7th picture.
