Panama passage
Contributed by: Mike McNierney on 4/21/2006

Mike, Dawn, Quinn McNierney and Al Baldwin just returned from their 16-day Panama Canal cruise on Holland America's MS Volendam. The 104-foot wide, 780-foot-long ship is one of the largest that will fit through the canal. The canal is only 108 feet wide and can take ships up to 965 feet long. The cruise started in Ft. Lauderdale, then went to the Dominican Republic, Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, three stops in Mexico and ended up in LA. I've attached a few pictures, but you can view the entire slide show at http://www.mcnierney.net/panama .

I believe you're the first YourHub.com user to post a photo of a sloth. Looks like a fun trip.
