Anthonette Klinkerman

Bio: When she was a kid, Anthonette had notebooks filled with stories written just for her entertainment. The obsession with writing continued into college, which might explain her political science grade. "A blank page was an invitation to me. I had to fill it with something," she recalls.

Now, she thoroughly enjoys posting columns about her just-shy-of-normal experiences on YourHub.com as she patiently awaits taking over Andy Rooney's position on 60 Minutes.

Anthonette Klinkerman is an educator, a writer, and a business owner. She continues to teach American Literature and Senior Seminar at Eagle Academy this next school year. She resides in Castle Pines North with her five-and-a-half-year old daughter, and her husband of ten years, one grumpy, aging cat, and a slightly psychotic, adopted two year old cat.

Though Mrs. K was born and raised in San Diego, she knew she would live in Colorado one day. It was explained recently that she was a victim of Chief Niwot's curse, that when she fell in love with the state in the 1980s she was destined to return.

She met her husband, a Littleton native, substitute teaching for him in Santee, CA. As he loves to tell the story, when he brought her back to meet the folks and it was 4 degrees outside, she announced, "I'm moving, with or without you."

Snow is still a novelty after seven years and one car wreck, though heading to the golf course is becoming more appealing than donning the winter stuff. (You can take the girl out of San Diego, but you can't take the San Diego out of the girl.)

San Diego is far different these days, she thinks when she returns to visit. Anthonette remembers a dairy farm in Mission Valley they would pass on the way downtown, and when Qualcomm was known as Jack Murphy Stadium. Oh, and when you could buy a house for less than a half million.
