Lakewood [Change Location]

Blog Entry 20 of 37 The Happenings at LAC!
Lakewood Arts Council serves Jefferson County, and its Community Art Center and Gallery is located at 85 S. Union in Lakewood. LAC supports all of the arts: visual, music, theater, literary. My name is Cindy Haase and I am the LAC Board's President for 2009. As part of our outreach I will be posting items from my viewpoint of the happenings at LAC. Artists Choice Reception - A Lovely Evening

A lovely evening!

I arrived at about 4:30pm to help Kathy Berls and Lorraine Miller set up the food. They are the old pros at doing these events so I wasn't much help, but I enjoyed their company. Welcome back Loraine, glad all is well with your son.

The juror, Gene Youngmann, was able to attend the reception and mingle with the award winners and other artists. A very nice gesture on his part.

It was fun for me to see old friends and meet new ones. The event was well-attended and I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time.

We ended promptly at 7pm as there was a Lakewood Symphony performance and reception following ours. I'm sure the concert goers enjoyed the art as well.
