Blog Entry 3 of 7 HO scale slot car racing
Welcome to Front Range HO Racing, we are the place for Denver area Vintage Aurora Thunderjet & AFX Magna-traction Racing. The Front Range HO Racing Club has been racing regularly scheduled HO Scale Racing Events continuously since 1996. We typically have 2 cooler weather seasons each year, with a break during the Summer months. Folks are friendly and the Racing is Exciting! Events are normally scheduled on Friday evenings. If you're interested in attending, contact any of the members listed on the FRHO website: http://www.scaleracers.com/FrontRangeHO/default.asp Our events are designed to be fun and exciting for the newcomer, yet still provide a very challenging environment for competition. Cars and controllers are always available to be loaned out to new racers and plenty of help in building and competing with these cars is freely given. FRHO enjoys a racing circuit comprised of modern, routed and routed sectional tracks with computerized timing systems. Most of the club tracks have lap lengths in the 80' range, with long 20 foot straight-aways. There's even a Scale 1/4 Mile Drag Track!

Another slot car race in the books!

The Front Range HO club held another race at Adventure Raceway (located in Centennial, CO) on Friday 3/17/2006.
Three of the faster classes of cars were run. This provided a LOT of excitement on the six lane, 4 foot x 16 foot custom built Buck Scorpion racetrack.
A picture of the Buck Scorpion racetrack has been added to the photos. NOTE: The picture is not very good. It is quite compressed and does not illustrate that the track is actually 16 feet long.

Does someone custom-build the slot car tracks? This one looks really expensive.
