The greatest part of YourHub.com is that you can be the one to tell your story. In this blog you'll find highlights of the Lakewood and Edgewater sites, as well as the musings of your friendly neighborhood journalist. So go ahead, uncover what's going on around you, and don't be afraid to share what you find.

Broncos hoop it up at LHS

The three-pointers were flying Friday night, March 23, at the Broncos Benefit Basketball game at Lakewood High School.

Current and former Denver Broncos players took on a team of Lakewood High School students, teachers, alumni and members of the community. The Tigers shot out ahead for most of the game, but in the final minutes the Broncos managed to catch up. In the end, the Tigers won by one point, 62-61.

The competition was good-natured, and even audience members were allowed to get in on the action by attempting foul shots.

More important than the score, however, was the cause: All proceeds went toward Lakewood's After Prom party, a safe place for prom-goers to spend the rest of their night.

Be sure to check out the photos of the Jumping Eagles, a jump-rope troupe from Ute Meadows Elementary that performed before the game: Wow, these kids can jump, for sure. I thought they were amazing!
