Tomorrow (Monday Dec. 17) marks the 10th anniversary of the day some guy coined the term "Weblog," which we now know simply as blog.
Jorn Barger was the first person to use the term to describe his "logging the web" while he surfed.
In
this post on Wired.com, Barger explains how to properly "blog." If you take a look at his site (
www.robotwisdom.com) you'll see he (kinda) follows his own advice.
I for one am glad that no one else in the blogosphere has adopted the Blogfather's style of blogging (or his hair style)! Although to honor the humble beginnings of what we now know as blogs, I'm going to blog in the Barger style tomorrow (which I think should be called "blinks" not "blogs").
And I did grab a 12er of Full Sail's Session Lager, so I'll write about that this week, too.
