Mom (Gail) took me to an evaluation in February, 2007. On our way there, I tipped my head real cute and asked, "What's an evaluation?" She said Denver Pet Partners was going to see if I can pass the temperament test for therapy dogs. No sweat! I was registered as a therapy dog a few weeks later, and Mom got me a uniform. My little green vest shows people that I've got an important job to do when I'm wearing it. Watch my blog for future entries about how the kids and I are doing!

Hi, Jewel here again!

I'm planning to collect books to give to readers who work really, really hard and advance to the next level by reading to me!

What's more, I will pawtograph a book for them! My pawprint's small, because I''m a miniature dachshund. At least it won't crowd your page that way!

I am a volunteer literacy dog. I don't make any money by helping kids read. So I'm broke. Does anybody know where I can get children's books at a low price, or free?

If you need a literacy dog at your school or library, please let me know! I'll talk it over with Mom and maybe I can come listen to your children once in a while too!
