Blog Entry 11 of 27 In Between
Sunrise, Sunset..........and everything in between.

That's what little boys are made of ...
Contributed by: Katherine Jerome   on 11/5/2007

Frogs and snails and puppy dog tails..............I love boys in all shapes and sizes. Grandpa's, daddies, sons, brothers. Rock star husbands like mine are especially hard to beat, but, growing up with 3 brothers, and having my own special daddy, training with my male counterparts was ingrained early on and prepared me for the next stage in my life as a wife and mother to 2 boys. It all seemed so natural and right from the get go. Going on 35 years of marriage, my boys are in their 20's and fill me to the brim with all that they are, but when it comes to little boys, my 10 month old baby grandson, Jesse takes the cake. He has tender eyes, growls like a little tiger and laughs like there's no tomorrow. Here's to you Jesse!

Tempers and tantrums sports prefaced by anthems
nature and nurture bright looks to the future
hugs and kisses and several near misses
jumping and climbing and swimming and diving
cartwheels and carwheels axels and grease
you'll leave an impression if you always say please
and thank you, forgive me, I love you world peace
hunting and fishing cycles and skis
the telling of tales and the birds and the bees
firemen policemen doctors and lawyers
mischief and messes just like Tom Sawyer
jeans and shirts and socks and shoes
learn to pitch in there's plenty to do
then go and have fun dear, just run play and shout
in the world of little boys there's great things about
balls and sticks and rocks and stones
you live in my heart with a place all your own
daddies and mommies sisters and brothers
grandpas and grandmas you're loved like no other
soft lips golden skin chubby hands chunky feet
you're one in a million you're heavenly sweet
my dream for you as the days turn to years
keep laughing love deeply you have nothing to fear
your light shining brightly inside you so clear
