Blog Entry 28 of 42 Different Rhymes for Different Times
Pretty much just some street-type rhymin' goin' on here. Some rhymes might have proper grammar, but most of 'em probably won't. Nothin' fancy. Kinda just however I'm feelin' at any given time. Sometimes there'll be an explanation for the rhyme, sometimes there won't be. Not a whole lot of words endin' in the letter "g". Hopefully nobody ever gets offended by anything I write. That is definitely not my intention. Just kinda writin' out my feelings in rhyme, that's all.

Son, I know how it is to feel lost and alone
To not feel really loved by the love that you're shown
To have different eyes,different skin, different hair
To feel you don't fit in a world that doesn't care
I know what it is to like different things
than everyone else and the feeling it brings
The feeling of doubt by those all around
who don't understand the treasures you've found
There will be times when, as parents, we'll think you should go a different way
but if there's one thing I could tell you, this is what I'd say;
Stand up, stand tall, don't be afraid to fall
and if you ever need me, son, don't be afraid to call
Don't always do what we want, just do what you do
Stay golden, stay true, stay you, stay Q
I know things are tough, this situation you're in
Just know we don't always lose and we don't always win
We won't always be first and we won't always be last
Just enjoy life, every moment, and don't grow up too fast
Enjoy being young, enjoy it all you can
You'll have the rest of your life to be a grown man
If I ride you too hard, just let me know
because there's lots of different things that can help a seed grow
and if I'm giving too much rain and you need some more sun
just give me the word and consider it done
You're my son, you're my life, you're the reason I live
You can make no mistake that I wouldn't forgive
You are the reason I do what I do
So stay golden, stay true, stay you, stay Q
