I haven't worked gigs since I finished high school. Today ended the working part of the month of May. I posed for approximately 35 hours this month. The jobs and locations were varied. I also attended two practice sessions with two different live models, something I haven't done in over 50 years.
If you would like to brush up your art skills, Lakewood Commons offers a 9:00 to noon portrait painting group on Mondays and a nude model to test your figure drawing skills on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9:30. Portrait class is five dollars. Figure drawing is seven. The classes are held in the room at the top of the stairs when you enter the theater building. For artists only as the groups offer no instruction but are small so everyone has a good view of the respective model.
If you want to know more, give the Lakewood Art Department a call.
At the moment, June appears to be a slow month where I'll just be working on a couple of Fridays but I never know when the phone will ring and I'll have another job or two. This will give me some time to catch up on the DVD's I've been watching, continue struggling with the Sudoku puzzles, meet Bill for lunch again, and continuing practicing sketching. Also Brian has notified me that Review The World will begin again around June 1
st and this time I'm going to try to find something to review instead of just rambling.
Hope you all enjoy the warm weather. I might meet you down at DVD Stop tomorrow. I need to clean a few more VHS tapes out of my apartment.
