Do what you love and the rest is easy. My parents told me that. I am living it. I am doing what I love.

Doggie Love - Jordan and Bailey
Contributed by: Marcia Siegel   on 8/21/2007

JORDAN AND BAILEY

I have a darling dog, Bailey Belle. She is a cavalier spaniel. Bailey is a quiet dog. I say she is aloof and others say she is discriminating. I think we are both right. When people come over Bailey will not run over to them and greet them. She never says, "Look at me. Pet me." She just kind of looks up at who is visiting and then goes back to snoozing.

Jordan is a friend of mine. He is a dog lover but he does not love all dogs. I love all dogs. I think all dogs are cute. I interact with all dogs. Jordan is like Bailey. He is aloof and discriminating.

It would only be natural that Jordan and Bailey would find each other and bond. When Jordan would come over Bailey would run up to him. She would wag her tail in big circles and look at Jordan with admiration. Jordan would scoop Bailey up and cuddle with her. He would also talk to her and kiss her and give her a sweet petting. Sounds kinky but of course it wasn't. Just a dog and a human having a very intimate. loving, deep and personal communication.

Jordan visited frequently. Bailey was happy to see him. It would be me, Jordan and Bailey. Jordan and I would talk and Bailey would be on Jordan's lap. Every once and a whil Bailey would look at Jordan lovingly with her big, brown, expressive eyes.

Later on in their relationship Bailey would nuzzle Jordan's neck and hair. Jordan would sit on the couch and Bailey would sit on top of the couch and snuggle with Jordan. It was so sweet and cute.

The joke became that Jordan and Bailey were seeing each other. They were girlfriend and boyfriend. This may sound kinky but it wasn't. Anyone that is an animal lover will understand this.

At some Jordan got busy and did not visit as frequently. When Jordan did stop by Bailey did not run up to him like she used to. She would meander over to him and look at him and wait for Jordan to pet her. The new joke was that Bailey was breaking up with Jordan. It seemed that Bailey took Jordan's lapses in visits personally.

Bailey was still a favorite of Jordan's and he still petted her and held her. But it was not the same for Bailey. Jordan lost some favor with her.

And so it went. Jordan got busier and Bailey got more distant. I guess that is the way it goes.
