I'm digressing a tad, actually a whole lot, and talking sports instead of computing.
But I found some interesting statistics in the August 25 issue of
Sports Illustrated.
Check out the coverage of Michael Phelps. Three items really stood out.
Margin of victory in the 100 Butterfly: .01 seconds. (Many thought he actually lost)
1. Size of his feet: 14 (See the fold out picture)
2. Medals won: 8 (See the cover)
3. Sometimes it all just gets down to numbers. And effort. And dedication.
But well deserved kudos to all the athletes, regardless of whether you won or didn't win. You most assuredly did not lose. You trained, sacrificed then showed up and did your best.
It's the most anyone can do and more people should. Good for all of you.
