While this year's election might not the grip the nation due to a lack of national races, I am of the belief that local races and ballot items are equally, if not more, important.
Thornton and Lakewood voters are electing new mayors. Voters in the Platte Canyon Valley School District and Denver Public Schools system are electing new school board members.Up in Evergreen, voters will decide if a fire protection board member should be recalled. These are all important races to the people who live in these communities.
Elections like this are happening up and down the Front Range and we are going to try and do our best to update you tonight with the latest results from all of the races. We'll be contacting candidates to get their reactions and be here if you have questions.
