Hot Topic: impound a car if you have no driver's license at a huge cost to you and a windfall to Colorado? Hell yeah! Of course the real question is it minority profiling? Uh....? NO! It's called doing the right thing and you can trust that if I had no license and I was pulled over my car would be towed and me left on the corner holding a ticket and begging for bus fare. Of course that won't happen to me because I do the right thing according to the laws in America.
So, why if it's good for me does the minority say it's targeted toward them? I think it's just another excuse to dance around the real issue. Your here illegally! And if high impound fees help to cover some of the cost I as a tax-paying citizen incur because of your illegal stay then that's fine by me.
I also feel it will make my roads a safer place to drive because I do have insurance and a drivers license. God forbid you should rear-end me and you have no insurance because I'm the one who loses because you CHOSE to do the wrong thing.
Last question: The news was pretty vague on what is currently being done to the vehicles of unlicensed drivers, but I assumed the car was being impounded...right? I mean, that would only make sense. Then again, common sense is a sparse vitrue amongst politicians. I only say that because officials say they need more police and impound lots to handle the issue. HELLO! $2500.00 impound fee on one car!
