Looks like a double-header at our house today. Air Force at Wyoming (always a great game) on CSTV at 1:30 then Texas plays Texas at 8:15 on ESPN2 HD.
Well, not quite Texas vs Texas. The University of Texas-Austin at the University of Texas at El Intercepted Paso. There's Texas and then there's not exactly.
Daughter Brea, UT class of '03, is likely coming over to watch the game. Political talk is banned. But based on a recent e-mail, Marguaritas are not. I'll stop by the liquor store. (Again)
Meeshigan fans have to wonder what's up with home openers recently. The Utes made it two bad years in a row. I wonder if the drunk Meeshigan guy who sat behind us at the Rose Bowl when we beat them was at the game? If he wasn't drunk before, I bet he was after.

USC moved ahead of Georgia in the #1 ranking this week. Sorry Dawgs, Los Angeles is a huge market with lots of votes. Woof woof.
I've still never figured out why USC named their team after a condom.
AP has TEXAS at #10 this week, USA Today has the Hcorns ranked 9th. After UTEP comes Arkansas and Rice. Ho-hum. The fun starts October 4 when the Longhorns visit Folsom Field to play the Golden Puffs. OU played the Puffs last year and left with a broken wheel on the schooner.
TEXAS plays OU October 11th. These two games will set the season. Win both and BCS here we come. Texas Tech be danged.
Auburn takes on Southern Miss this weekend. Their first big challenge comes September 27 against LSU. But the game is in Auburn. The game watching party is at Paul's. Or did everyone get tickets? Don't forget the TP.
As usual, there are about a zillion games to watch, how cool is that?
